Under the guiding principle, “good wine comes from good grapes,” Ste.Neige wines are made using European varieties of quality wine grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay, which Asahi began to grow from early on and continues to cultivate to this day. The Ste.Neige winery is located in the Kofu Basin, nestled within the Japanese Alps in Yamanashi. It is here, in the birthplace of grapes that has witnessed the history of wine-making since 1947, that Ste.Neige wines were first produced. The name Ste.Neige literally means “sacred snow.”
